What is a system? Well firstly, when a child is very young they have multiple distinct parts of their personality and as you mature these personality parts tend to merge. A system is general term for a specific group of people who suffer from trauma at a young age. This trauma is so intense for their brain to handle that it never figures out how to merge fully and or correctly. Because of this, as the child matures they gain a thing called "alters" also known as alternate state or alternate personality. There are multiple forms of systemhood, all of which involve suffering some sort of trauma at a young age; not all people who suffer trauma at a young age will develop a system, but it is a possibility that they will.

So who are you?

Me? I'm an alter. I don't fit into ANP or EP, Apparently normal part and Emotional part respectively, but I do hold trauma from the body's life and I still live my life as a regular person. I live my life under the same name, age, identity, and other such as the core does, but I am not the core nor do I actually have the same name, it's just easier for me to identity as him than actually state myself who I am. For the ease of the system and everyone around us, City 17, C17, SCPA, and any name we collectively use is perfect for referring to me, us in general, and when you don't know who is fronting!

How do I know who is fronting?

Sometimes we don't even know who's fronting! Your best bet is to check our name in the server and the pronoun section, as we typically put the alter's name, pronouns, and age or age range there! However, if the server has pluralkit, assume whoever is proxying- or talking with the bot- is probably the fronter!
